1950s Movie Trailers
Here's a showreel of monster movie trailers from the '50s.
From these clips I can take aspects of them to add to my animation, gaining that same '50s horror style.
Such as;
-Black & White
-Grainy picture from the old film.
-The 'over-the-top' type (font style and actual content) displayed before the introduction of the film's name.
-The tension building brass-band music.
-The transitions of each piece of type when coming onto/off the screen.
-The sound effects of ray-guns, monsters, false car tyre squeals. Mostly badly dubbed.
-The one-liners of the terrified public.
- The narrated speech which sometimes follows the on-screen type, usually a deep male voice filled with seriousness.
